How it works
To add VAT, the calculator multiplies the price by 1.15. To remove VAT from a total, it divides by 1.15, which is the correct way to find the price before VAT.
A common mistake is to take 15% off a VAT-inclusive price. On R115 that gives R97.75, but the real price before VAT is R100.
